Terms of service
Terms of Service
Last updated: 24 July 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of norvaneapparel.com (the "Site") and any order you place with us. Please read them carefully. By placing an order you confirm that you accept these Terms.
1. Who we are
The Site is operated by Georgie Gibbons, a sole trader trading as "Norvane" ("we", "us", "our").
- Trading name: Norvane
- Email: support@norvaneapparel.com
We are not currently registered for VAT, so no UK VAT is charged on our prices.
2. These Terms and your legal rights
Nothing in these Terms reduces your legal rights. If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live. Where any term here conflicts with those rights, your rights prevail.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on the Site when you place your order, and we will not apply changes retrospectively to orders already accepted.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian, and be legally capable of entering into a binding contract. By ordering you confirm that the payment method used is yours or that you have express authority to use it.
4. Orders and when a contract is formed
Our product listings are an invitation to treat, not an offer. Your order is an offer to buy.
- After you place an order you will receive an order confirmation. This acknowledges receipt of your order; it does not by itself form a contract.
- A contract is formed only when we send you a dispatch confirmation, and only in respect of the items listed in it.
- If we cannot accept your order — for example the item becomes unavailable, we identify a pricing or description error, we cannot verify payment, or we are unable to ship to your address — we will tell you and refund any sum paid in full.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order where we reasonably suspect fraud, unauthorised use of a payment method, a breach of these Terms, or a pattern of abusive returns. Where we do so we will refund any payment taken.
5. Made-to-order production
Norvane products are printed and assembled for you after your order is accepted. We do not hold finished stock. This means:
- Production takes time in addition to delivery — see our Shipping Policy.
- Once an item has entered production we may be unable to change it. If you need to amend or cancel, email us immediately and we will do what we can, but we cannot guarantee changes after production begins.
- Placing an order acknowledges that the item is produced specifically for your order. This does not affect your cancellation and return rights, which are set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy and are more generous than the statutory minimum.
6. Product descriptions, colour and sizing
We describe our products as accurately as we can, and each product page includes materials, garment measurements and care instructions.
- Colour: screens vary. Colours shown on your device may differ slightly from the finished item.
- Print position: small variations in placement are inherent to print-on-demand and are not defects.
- Measurements: garment measurements are taken flat and may vary by up to approximately one inch. Canvas sizes carry a production tolerance of about ±1/8 inch.
- Sizing: please use the size guide on each product page before ordering. We provide guidance in good faith; final size choice is yours.
7. Prices, currency and payment
- Prices are shown in the currency of your selected market. Where a currency other than GBP is displayed, the amount is converted at the rate applied by our payment provider at checkout.
- The total payable, including delivery, is shown before you confirm payment.
- Payment is taken at checkout. We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout.
- Prices exclude any import duties, taxes or customs handling fees payable in the destination country — see clause 9.
- If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price due to a technical or human error, we are not obliged to supply it at that price. We will contact you and offer the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
8. Discounts, bundles and promotions
Discount codes and bundle offers are subject to any stated conditions, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be withdrawn or amended at any time. Unless expressly stated, offers cannot be combined. We may cancel an order and refund it where a discount has been obtained through misuse, duplication or error.
9. Delivery, duties and import charges
Delivery times, costs and destinations are set out in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Our products are made to order through production partners in the United Kingdom, Europe and North America, and orders are normally routed to the facility closest to the delivery address. Where an order is produced in the same country or customs area as its delivery address it ships domestically, and no import charges arise.
Where an order does reach you from outside your own country or customs area, it may attract import duties, taxes and carrier handling fees. These are set by the destination country, are not included in the price you pay us, and are your responsibility as the importer. We cannot predict or control them. If a parcel is refused or abandoned because import charges are unpaid, we may deduct outbound and return carriage costs from any refund.
10. Risk and title
Goods are at your risk from the time they are delivered to the address you provided. Title passes to you once we have received payment in full.
It is your responsibility to provide a complete and accurate delivery address. We are not liable for loss caused by an incorrect or incomplete address, or by delivery instructions you have given to the carrier.
11. Cancellation, returns and refunds
Your cancellation and return rights are set out in full in our Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
12. Faulty or misdescribed goods
If goods are faulty, not as described or not of satisfactory quality, you have legal remedies including repair, replacement or a refund. Contact us with photographs and we will resolve it. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights.
13. Intellectual property
All designs, artwork, text, photography, logos and other content on the Site are owned by us or licensed to us and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may not reproduce, copy, resell or commercially exploit any Norvane design or Site content without our prior written permission.
You may use images of products you have purchased for ordinary personal and social use. You may not use our designs to produce, print or sell goods.
14. Reviews and submitted content
We publish only genuine reviews from verified customers. If you submit a review, photograph or other content, you confirm it is your own, truthful, and not unlawful or offensive, and you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it in connection with our products. We may decline or remove content that is fake, incentivised, defamatory or infringes someone else's rights.
15. Acceptable use of the Site
You agree not to misuse the Site, including by attempting to gain unauthorised access, introducing malicious code, scraping content systematically, or placing fraudulent or speculative orders.
16. Payment disputes and chargebacks
If there is a problem with your order, please contact us first at support@norvaneapparel.com. Almost everything is resolved quickly and directly, and it is faster than a bank dispute.
Raising a chargeback does not remove your obligation to act honestly. Where a chargeback is raised in respect of goods that were delivered as described, we may submit evidence to the card scheme, including order records, correspondence, delivery tracking and proof of delivery. We retain these records for this purpose and for as long as is necessary to handle disputes and meet our legal obligations.
Nothing in this clause affects your right to dispute a transaction with your bank or card issuer where you are genuinely entitled to do so.
17. Our liability
We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to that, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these Terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, and we do not accept liability for business losses — these Terms cover supply to consumers for private use.
18. Events outside our control
We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, including carrier disruption, supplier or production failure, extreme weather, industrial action, customs delays, civil unrest or failures of public networks. If such an event occurs we will contact you and, where the delay is substantial, you may cancel and receive a full refund.
19. Complaints
If you are unhappy with anything, email support@norvaneapparel.com. We aim to acknowledge complaints within two business days and resolve them within fourteen days. If we cannot resolve a complaint between us, you may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution scheme or take the matter to court.
20. Privacy
We handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
21. General
- If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force.
- A delay in enforcing these Terms is not a waiver of our rights.
- We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation; this will not affect your rights.
- A person who is not a party to these Terms has no right to enforce them.
22. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, and — where the law of the country in which you live gives you that right — in the courts of your own country. Nothing in this clause deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
